These fatty hamachi collars take about 10 minutes to grill up in the airfryer (or oven), yet they look like sucha treat, making them the perfect thing to add to your dining table round-up if you're pressed for time. All you need to finish these are a couple of lemon wedges, and everyone's happily chowin' down on their daily dose of omega 3 fatty acids...

Ingredients

  • 2 Hamachi Collars (See notes*)

  • salt and black pepper, to taste

  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil, to taste

  • Sake, 1 Tablespoon

  • Lemon Wedges or ponzu sauce, to serve

Directions

  • Marinate your hamachi collars with the sake for 10 minutes. Wipe it dry with a piece of paper towel.
  • Season the collars with salt, pepper, and olive oil.
  • Air Fry at 160C for 10 to 12 minutes. Check at 10 - you don't want to overcook your gorgeous hamachi. See Notes Below.
  • Serve with lemon wedges on the side. YUM.

Notes

  • I got my Hamachi Collar here. "aroundthediningtable" for off 0 spend valid through Feb 2024.
  • The timing & temp. here are for the air-fryer. If you're using an oven (basically a larger.. air fryer), you may have to adjust the temp. & timing. For my Ninja Air Fryer ("LACESNSG" for 10% off all Shark Ninja Products here), 160C and 10 minutes gave me the best results! Any higher and the fish ended up less moist.
  • The Sake helps remove any "fishy" off-smells.
