“The biggest adventure you can take is to live the life of your dreams.” – Oprah Winfrey
It’s been a heck of a ride the past 9 to 10 months since the launch of my first book, “Three Dishes One Soup”. One of the best decisions I’ve made since was to listen to that little voice inside to go book a solo trip to Italy. More specifically, to Italian Culinary Institute in Calabria, to find out more about Italian food. Something I’ve always dreamed of doing but constantly brushed off to the back of my head.
It was azure blue skies everyday – classes set to the meditative quality of the tranquil, lightly bobbing sea, the expanse of the limitless sky speckled with marshmallow-esque clouds, copious amounts of cheese and bread, dessert with every meal (as it should be..), and the beach as the default backdrop wallpaper…
It’s nature’s abundance. It’s being generously well-fed by people who take care and pride in preparing every dish. It’s talking, hearing, learning, thinking, obsessing about food constantly on a daily basis for two whole weeks. Of course it’s heaven on earth for me.
So… Wait for no one to hand you your dreams arranged neatly on a silver platter (unless there’s food on it..hahaha), or to sweep you off your feet. Seize life. Make your own adventures. Create your own world. Sweep yourself off your feet and fascinate yourself with the power you’ve got within. Fall in love with your own potential and in the process, fall in love with life all over again…
What’s the one thing you’ve been dreaming of doing?
Enjoy feasting on these shots!
